Aquafit Float Velcro™ Replacement

Velcro™ is an excellent fastening method for hydrotherapy equipment and we use the best quality Velcro™ on the market for our floats. If Velcro™ is not cleaned and maintained properly, grime and other debris can get caught in the hooks and loops which make them less effective in sticking together. Simple maintenance includes rinsing the float and particularly the Velcro™  with fresh, clean water after use in the pool, and then air drying the float.- this removes chlorine. Evidence of chlorine damage  is seen in a distinctive bleached look on the Velcro.™ Remember to close the Velcro™  together between use or when storing. This minimises the amount of  dust, lint and hair it collects over time. Regularly cleaning  Velcro™ by removing debris and gently brushing  the hooks and loops can also extend its lifespan. Avoid drying your float in a dryer. Theraquatics floats are intended for use in  hydrotherapy or aquatic therapy pools with a water temperature between  30.5 – 34.5 degrees (87- 94°F). US style hot tubs with water temperatures between 93-100°F are much hotter than traditional aquatic therapy pools for which Theraquatics floats have been designed. The heat in these pools will eventually cause hooks in the Velcro™  to lose their shape and in turn, their stickability. To maintain safe and proper closure on your Theraquatics float, we now sell our Velcro™ in pre-cut lengths for each specific float – see below.
